The Last Message

 

Maya’s phone buzzed with a message: “Don’t look behind you.” She froze, her heart pounding. The room was silent except for the ticking clock. Slowly, she turned, finding nothing but shadows. Another message arrived: “You’re safe... for now.” The power went out, plunging her into darkness. A faint whisper echoed, “Run.”
