 Walking home, Jake found a notebook labeled “Things to Happen Today.” Flipping through, he saw detailed entries of his day so far. The last line read: “At 10:30 PM, Jake vanishes.” He checked his watch—it was 10:29 PM. A shadow loomed over him, and the notebook fell to the ground.
